Donation Refund Policy

 

The Confluence Collective Trust is a non-profit organization registered under the India Trust Act. We are deeply grateful for your support, as it allows us to continue our work of archiving and documenting the histories of the Darjeeling-Sikkim Himalayas. Your contributions to the TCC Photo Archive help preserve these vital stories and ensure that The Confluence Collective remains an essential space for cultural dialogue, creative expression, and public engagement.

 

Refund Policy Overview

As a non-profit, all donations to The Confluence Collective (TCC) are voluntary, and we encourage our donors to exercise care and diligence when making contributions. We recognize that, in some instances, donations may be made in error. Therefore, we have implemented a Donation Refund Policy to ensure a fair and transparent process for handling such requests.

Please note that requests for refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis. TCC may require additional documentation or information from the donor to process a refund request. We ask that donors cooperate fully with any such requests to facilitate the process.

 

Eligibility for Refunds

Refund requests will generally be considered under the following circumstances:

  1. Donations Made in Error: If a donation is made erroneously (e.g., due to incorrect amount or duplicate transaction), a refund request may be considered.

  2. Requests Must Be Made Promptly: Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the donation being processed. Requests made after this period may not be eligible for a refund, but TCC will assess each case individually.

 

Process for Requesting a Refund

To request a refund, donors should contact TCC at mail@theconfluencecollective.com within 7 days of making the donation. Please provide the following details in your request:

  • Full name

  • Donation amount

  • Date of donation

  • Transaction ID (if applicable)

  • Reason for requesting a refund

 

Processing of Refunds

Once your request is received, TCC will review the case and notify you of the outcome. If the refund is approved, the amount will be refunded to the original payment method, typically within 7-10 business days. TCC reserves the right to decline a refund request if it does not meet the criteria outlined in this policy.
